How to Tell If a Homeowner Is Not Serious About Selling

Homeowner Is Not Serious About Selling

Doesn’t matter if you’re a real estate entrepreneur or an experienced real estate agent, noticing if you’re working with a homeowner/seller who isn’t entirely committed to selling a property isn’t an easy task but with some tips and experience you’ll catch them so you don’t have to worry about anything but all of your investments! Don’t miss those Emaar Beachfront prices or the opportunity to invest in some off plan properties in Dubai! What about that apartment you’ve been dreaming to invest in Port de la Mer by Meraas?

Stop losing your precious time by knowing how to tell if a homeowner is not serious about selling. First of all, you have to know that not everybody who says that wants to sell their property intends to do it. Here are some common signs:

1. THE ASKING PRICE IS OFF THE CHARTS

If the seller wants to list the property for a price that’s obviously above the price of other homes with the same characteristics, the seller is just probably testing the market and seeing if someone bites the bait. You should know that this type of seller isn’t that interested in selling.

2. THE HOUSE IS A MESS

Everybody knows that a messy house won’t attract anyone, and even less a buyer. Doesn’t matter if it’s the greatest house in the world or if it’s a disaster, the seller is very likable to not be that interested in selling.

3. THE SELLER WON’T BUDGE ON PRICE

Another sign that a seller isn’t that serious about his/her decision of putting a property for sale is if the mentioned property has been out in the market for over 30 days and hasn’t changed its price. After estimating for residential construction, This change should usually be a reduction in price. This indicates that the homeowner isn’t so interested in selling.

4. NEGOTIATING IS OFF THE TABLE

If the seller doesn’t agree to negotiate and rejects some reasonable or good offers, like selling for a little less than asked, then you know that this person isn’t that convinced about the decision of selling.

5. THE SELLER DRAGS THINGS OUT

Another case that usually occurs is when a seller starts asking for extensions on your offers. If someone starts to buy time to ‘think’ or to ‘review the offer’ that person is just looking for someone else who might give some more money.
